Global Workplace Training Program

A total of 573 students were selected for the government-sponsored Global Workplace Training Program funded by the Korean government for the past 11 years from 2005 to 2015 (Selected by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology)

The largest number of students (101 students) was selected in the first semester of 2009. This accounts for 18% of 559 students in total in the nation.

A total of 28 students, the largest number in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk region, were selected for Global Workplace Training Program in the first half of the year 2012.

  • A total of 395 students were selected for the government-sponsored Global Workplace Training Program (Previous name is overseas internship) hosted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology for the past 7 years from 2005 to 2011 and participated in overseas foreign language training and internships associated with their majors.
  • Students went to various countries such as USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan and China.
  • The total expense comprises of government fund, college fund and student’s private money.
  • Total Financial Support from government
    English-speaking region: 7,500,000 won
    Japanese-speaking region: 6,000,000 won
    Chinese-speaking region & South-east Asia: 4,000,000 won
  • As for students from low-income or vulnerable groups, additional government fund is provided depending on the level of income in order to alleviate the financial burden on students.
